6. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Technologies

Zilgrow uses cookies and similar technologies to operate its websites, understand visitor behaviour, measure performance, and evaluate marketing activities.

Depending on the website and configuration, these technologies may include:

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4);
  • Google Tag Manager and Google tags;
  • Meta Pixel;
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag; and
  • event-tracking technologies used to understand website interactions.

These technologies may collect information about pages visited, clicks, website events, referral sources, browser and device characteristics, and advertising or analytics identifiers.

6.1 Types of technologies

We may use:

  • Essential technologies needed for website functionality, security, or services you request.
  • Analytics technologies used to understand website usage and performance.
  • Advertising technologies used to measure campaigns, build audiences, or support relevant advertising.

6.2 Consent and preferences

Where required by applicable law, we will seek consent before enabling non-essential cookies or similar technologies. Where consent is required, users should be able to decline non-essential technologies and withdraw or change their choices through an available cookie preference mechanism.

The use of a technology, and whether consent is required, depends on its purpose, configuration, and the applicable law.

6.3 Cookie duration

Cookie lifetimes vary according to their purpose, provider, and configuration. A cookie’s lifetime is not necessarily the same as the period for which analytics information is retained by the provider.

We aim to use appropriate retention settings and review our use of these technologies as needed.

You may also manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking certain cookies may affect website functionality.

7. How We Share Personal Information

We may share personal information with the following categories of recipients, where necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

7.1 Service providers

Our service providers may include:

  • Hostinger: website hosting and related technical services.
  • Nrich Learning: CRM, email communications, recorded courses, and learning-related services.
  • Razorpay: payment processing and related transaction services.
  • Zoom: live online sessions and related meeting services.
  • Google: analytics, tag management, and related measurement services.
  • Meta: advertising measurement and related advertising services.
  • LinkedIn: advertising measurement and related professional advertising services.

The services used may vary by website, program, or transaction.

7.2 Professional advisers

We may share relevant information with legal, accounting, tax, auditing, or other professional advisers where reasonably necessary.

7.3 Legal and regulatory disclosures

We may disclose information where required by law, valid legal process, a competent authority, or where reasonably necessary to protect our rights, users, property, or security.

7.4 Business changes

If Zilgrow undergoes a merger, restructuring, acquisition, or transfer of business assets, personal information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

7.5 Advertising-related disclosures

Certain advertising technologies may transmit online identifiers, device information, or browsing interactions to third-party platforms. Depending on the applicable law and the specific technology and configuration, such disclosures may be treated as targeted advertising, sharing, or another regulated form of disclosure.

We do not intend to sell personal information in exchange for monetary payment. This statement does not mean that every disclosure through advertising technologies is automatically excluded from the legal definitions of “sale” or “sharing.”

Where applicable law requires an opt-out or other control for these activities, we will provide the required mechanism.

We do not authorise third parties to use personal information obtained through us for purposes that are not permitted by applicable law or the relevant service arrangements.

8. Third-Party Providers and Their Policies

We rely on third-party providers to support our websites, learning platform, payments, communications, analytics, and advertising.

These providers may process information under their own privacy policies, service terms, data-processing terms, and other applicable arrangements.

Zilgrow has not independently obtained or verified all relevant data-processing documentation, processing locations, or subcontractor arrangements for every provider, including Hostinger and Nrich Learning. We therefore do not represent that every provider arrangement has been independently audited or verified.

A provider’s published privacy policy does not, by itself, establish the precise storage location, all subprocessors involved, or the full contractual arrangements applicable to Zilgrow’s account.

We will take reasonable steps to review and manage provider relationships and address applicable privacy and contractual requirements.

Third-party services may also have their own privacy practices when you visit their websites or use their platforms. We encourage you to review the relevant provider’s privacy information.

9. International Processing and Transfers

Zilgrow is based in India and serves individuals in multiple countries. Because we use third-party service providers, personal information may be processed or accessed outside the country where you reside.

The countries involved may depend on the provider, the service used, the configuration of the account, and the provider’s subcontractors.

We have not independently verified the complete international data flows of every provider. Accordingly, we do not claim that all personal information is stored exclusively in India or that all processing takes place in a particular country.

Where applicable law requires specific safeguards, contractual arrangements, consent, or other measures for an international transfer, we will take the steps required by that law.

10. Data Retention

We aim to retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, taking account of legal requirements, business needs, security, and dispute resolution.

General Practice: For many operational records, our general retention approach is approximately 30 days to 6 months, depending on the data type and purpose. This is a general practice, not a guarantee that every category of information will be deleted within that period.

Different categories may require different retention periods:

  • Enquiries and prospective customer records: retained for the period reasonably needed to respond, manage follow-up, and maintain relevant records.
  • Course and learner records: retained while needed to provide access, manage enrolment, support learning, and maintain relevant educational or business records.
  • Purchase, invoice, accounting, and tax records: retained for the periods required by applicable law or reasonably needed for financial administration.
  • Support and communication records: retained as needed to resolve issues, maintain continuity, and address disputes.
  • Marketing preferences and consent records: retained as needed to respect preferences and demonstrate compliance.
  • Analytics and advertising information: subject to the relevant tool settings, provider arrangements, and applicable law.
  • Security and technical logs: retained for a period appropriate to operational security, investigation, and legal requirements.

When information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete it or anonymise it, subject to applicable legal obligations and legitimate retention requirements.

11. Data Security

We take reasonable measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

Depending on the information and systems involved, these measures may include access restrictions, account controls, secure service configurations, and reliance on service providers’ security measures.

No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We therefore cannot promise absolute security.

If a personal data breach occurs, we will assess the incident and take the notifications and remedial steps required by applicable law.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Your rights depend on the law applicable to your location, the nature of the information, and the circumstances of the processing.

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of personal information.
  • Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
  • Object to certain processing or request restrictions.
  • Request a copy of certain information in a portable format.
  • Opt out of certain direct marketing communications.
  • Opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising activities where the relevant law provides that right.
  • Lodge a complaint with a competent privacy regulator.

These rights are not absolute. We may need to retain or process certain information to meet legal obligations, complete a transaction, protect rights, or rely on another lawful basis.

How to submit a request

Email contact@zilgrow.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” Please explain your request and identify the Zilgrow service concerned.

We may need to verify your identity or request additional information before responding. We aim to respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. Where permitted by law, an authorised representative may submit a request on your behalf, subject to appropriate verification.

We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Non-essential cookies and similar tracking technologies will be managed in accordance with applicable UK requirements.

Individuals may raise concerns with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) where the relevant law permits.

13.5 United States

Privacy laws in the United States vary by state and may apply depending on the nature and scale of the business, the information processed, and other statutory thresholds.

Where applicable, state privacy laws may provide rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy of, or opt out of certain processing of personal information.

For California residents, where the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), applies, additional rights may include opting out of the sale or sharing of personal information, including certain disclosures for cross-context behavioural advertising.
